The best thing you can do is find someone with the turbos you may want, and get a ride in the car. There's no way you'll know what the bigger turbos are like until you have at least ridden in a big turbo car. To me the 2530's were fine for the street. If you want 500rwhp, it still won't happen without race gas specially with sport500 turbos. To make decent power, you also need decent octane gas. : I was talk ing to Greg and he was saying they are not a very good street car turbo because of the lag they produce. Ok, that's fine and I have no reason not to believe him. But being I've never had upgraded turbos, I don't know what upgraded turbo lag feels like, let alone the differences say between a GT2530, Sport 600, TD05, etc. But the GT2530's are supposed to be less laggy with the bearings I thought. plus add on Gregs dounpipes and he says they start spooling 500 rpm sooner. : Yes my car will be a street car. I hardly drove it before and can't see driving it anymore than I did. It's comes out on nice days and weekends. I don't drag race (but want to run it a few times just to try it) and I'm usually pretty easy on it. : He suggested I go with Sport 500's for the street and also maybe wait for the new BB Sport 500's coming out (He is testing them right now actually). But I'm building the bottom end up with aftermarket pistons and rods and such. I was planning on having the 500+ RWHP. So back to my question then, how are the GT2530's on the street. Is the main reason for having them (more power) only going to show in the upper speeds of say a highway run? Greg said the lag they produce is not recommended for the street and that I would need to run race gas and really high boost to get the power out of them. He said the Sport 500's are better for the street because of the quick spool up and overall power range they provide. : So now I don't know what to get. Ahhh, turbo selection is driving me crazy :).
